Unfortunately, many families were unable to attend our family session this Sunday. I suspect that illness may be going around, keeping several families at home. To ensure you don’t miss out, here’s a recap of our lesson along with some recommendations for further study to help reinforce the key themes we covered.
Summary of the Presentation: Living Morally in Christ with a Focus on Joyful Living
In our session on Living Morally in Christ, we explored how morality is not merely a set of rules but a path to true joy and fulfillment in relationship with God and others. We reflected on the Parable of the Prodigal Son using Lectio Divina, discussed the Ten Commandments as a guide for loving God and neighbor, and examined how virtue and reconciliation help restore joy in our lives. Through the examples of St. Gianna Beretta Molla and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, we saw how everyday holiness and joyful living go hand in hand. Parents engaged in discussions with their children about what they learned in class, reinforcing the importance of faith in family life. We closed with a fun Ten Commandments game, reminding us that faith formation can be both meaningful and joyful.
